2. Overview
I only process personal data where this is necessary to operate this website or to answer your enquiries. This website uses no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising cookies and no embedded social media content. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual measures), Art. 6(1)(c) (legal obligation) and Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest).
3. Hosting
This website is operated by an external hosting provider. Personal data collected when you visit the website is processed on its servers. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of the website.
4. Server log files
When you visit this website, information transmitted by your browser is recorded automatically:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page or file accessed
- referrer URL
- browser type and version, operating system
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security. It is not combined with other data sources and is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
6. Cookies
This website does not set any cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking. Technically necessary cookies are used only in the protected admin area for logged-in users. The language plugin may store your chosen language in a technically necessary cookie (pll_language).
7. Contact by email or phone
If you contact me by email or phone, I process your details (e.g. name, email address, phone number and message) to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Email service
I use Gmail, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to receive emails. Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: Google Privacy Policy.
8. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are loaded locally from my web server. No connection to Google or other third-party servers is made.
9. Links to Discord and Google Play
This website contains links to the Lyr Lab Discord server and, where applicable, to Google Play. These are simple links; no content from these services is embedded and no data is transferred to them when you visit this website. Only when you click a link are you redirected to the respective provider, whose privacy policy then applies – for Discord that of Discord Netherlands BV (discord.com/privacy), for Google Play that of Google.
10. Your rights
Within the statutory framework you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw any consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Right to object: where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
